Dr. Blunt-Vinti earned an MPH and a PhD in public health from the University of South Florida’s College of Public Health and joined the University of Arkansas faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Community Health Promotion Program in the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation, in 2014. Dr. Blunt-Vinti’s dissertation was partially funded by the Foundation of the Scientific Study of Sexuality student research grant and explored young women’s communication and sexual satisfaction with committed and casual sexual partners. Dr. Blunt-Vinti’s research interests include sexual pleasure and satisfaction, communication with sexual partners, sexual agency, and evaluation of sexual health programs. Her research utilizes mixed methods data collection and multivariable data analysis techniques.
